The Allawa community in Shiroro Local Government Area in Niger State is facing an educational crisis due to ongoing insecurity ¹. Many families have been forced to flee their homes, causing a significant disruption to the education of children in the community. To address this issue, there is an urgent need for temporary school facilities to ensure that these young learners can continue their education while awaiting the opportunity to return home.
The establishment of temporary schools equipped with necessary materials and staffed with volunteer teachers/personnel from educational support organizations is crucial. This will provide a safe and supportive learning environment for the displaced students, enabling them to continue their education and maintain a sense of normalcy in these challenging times.
The ALLAWA EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (AEDA) has appealed to the government to provide temporary school facilities for the displaced pupils and students of the Allawa community ¹. This urgent call to action requires immediate attention from the government to ensure that the education of these young learners is not further disrupted.
